Affirming yourself

I noticed during my surfing the other day, that my mind was kind of occupied and I wasn’t present in the ocean. For me being in the ocean always helps to empty myself and have no thoughts at all, most of the times.

The only way to empty my busy mind was to feed it with different positive thoughts, so I used affirmations.

Affirmations are encouraging and built the way to a live you want to have.

I used affirmations by saying [ I am ...  ]  loved, happy, funny, knowledgeable, a surfer etc.)You can use any kind of words while saying I am, so you are confirming you are already it. You are enough, there is nothing lacking about you.

When I used the word, I am a surfer, I had to laugh just right before catching a wave.

It turned out to be the best wave I caught during the day, hahaha. It really works I thought, and my smile got even bigger.

Whenever you are not feeling enough or too much negative self-talk, please use those affirmations to re-confirm and assure yourself in a positive way. How many times you are repeating I am … is totally up to you and which words you want to use.

I recommend using words that are resonating with yourself, that is why I said I am a surfer. It’s best to use adjectives because it gives more flow, but it’s up to you.

I used the affirmations for roughly about 5minutes and could catch some nice waves, I felt much more balanced and at peace again.

My thoughts that couldn’t stop prior using affirmations, had no more space and my mind become calm again. It’s really about what you want to focus on, on thoughts that aren’t positive and keep you busy,or a positive and empty mindset that helps you to be creative as you have space and presence to listen within yourself.

Give it a try when your mind is too occupied and needs to let go of.

With love and light,

Sabine
